Why I serve a leadership role with Chicktime:

Chicktime provided me the opportunity to serve an organization that lifts up women and children. Being part of that means I can help others discover their gifts and passions.

My Passions and Gifts:

I am passionate about helping others make connections and find joy in everyday experiences. The smallest interactions can have lasting impacts!
Hobbies and Interests:

When I’m not working, I love to read, practice yoga, and spend time outdoors. Although I aspire to crafting, I am much more successful with games and puzzles!

Why I serve:

As a mother of three adult children, I have always desired assisting others with needs whenever possible. Philanthropy is an important value that I have stressed to my children. Although I have no personal experience with foster care, I volunteered at a local children’s shelter for a few years after college graduation. This is the perfect opportunity to give of my time at this point in my life.

Passions and gifts:

I have a passion for working with children. I served as a Sunday School Teacher for twelve years. I have also spent many hours chaperoning throughout my daughter’s 15 years in the dance world. You will hear me speak of God’s gifts that each of us are given frequently. I have been given the gift with administrative skills. I hope to utilize this gift as I volunteer with Chicktime.

Hobbies and Interests:

I love to travel! To travel and gain new experiences allows us to grow! I love dogs – especially my two English Bulldogs. I can spend hours with these fur babies showering them with love.

Why I serve:

When our chapter leader, Sharlene, shared information and her Chicktime experience, and asked me to serve alongside her as her coleader, i knew I needed to find the time to contribute what I can to make a difference in the lives of these young teen mom’s.

 

Passions and gifts:

I am a nurturer by nature. My passion for helping and caring for others led me to my fulfilling nursing career. Although I am now retired, I continue to volunteer in many aspects of helping others in need.

 

Hobbies and Interests:

I enjoy the great outdoors and especially love hiking, biking and gardening, as well as most water activities.
