Where We Serve
In 2014, there were 66,572 cases of child abuse and neglect in Texas. 8,012 cases occurred in the greater San Antonio area (Texas Department of Family and Protective Services 2014 Annual Report). Many of these children witnessed family violence, drug abuse and its effects on the family, were abused and neglected, wondered where their next meal would come from, and wanted for love and affection.
SJRC Texas cares for close to 100 children each day from the Greater San Antonio and surrounding area. They strive to provide the best care possible and bring a wealth of knowledge and experience to their work raising children in foster care, the mental health of children and families, and the welfare of children and adoptions – creating forever families.
They are raising the next generation of children who will hopefully be able to contribute to the community and help make it a better place.
