Tie Blankets
February Update:
Samantha is in med school and brought her passion and knowledge to our Chicktime workshop this month!
In line with the Valentine month theme, she led the girls in a STEM activity to learn the parts of the heart and demonstrated the flow of blood in and out of the heart. Then she provided the girls with play dough to form their own version of a heart. She also gave them heart shaped note pads and stress balls. The girls each shared something new that they learned from the fun experience!
We had some extra time together so we gathered in a large circle and each of our volunteers took turns engaging the group in a game of their choice.
We played Laughter Yoga, Simon Says, Little Sally Walker, and Ghosts in the Graveyard. So much fun and tons of laughs!
