January Update:

Veronica Vela led our first workshop, sharing her story and empowering us to reflect and move forward with positivity. Key messages included recognizing one’s worth and the importance of self-care. Participants were reminded that they are not defined by their struggles, but rather by their efforts to become a better version of themselves. A comprehensive guide was provided, featuring affirmations and daily habits to promote self-care and resilience. Activities such as bracelet-making and journal decoration encouraged stress relief. The workshop concluded with a meaningful Chex mix ceremony, where each ingredient represented a key aspect of personal growth: Hope Trail Mix for hope, cereal for stability, pretzels for strength, dried cranberries for endurance, marshmallows for kindness, popcorn for growth, and M&Ms for joy and individuality.
