Fall Fun!

September Update

What an amazing day!!
I love how Chicktime is growing and partnering with the community to make an impact.
Today was a perfect example of that.
Thank you to The Newman Series Mobile Catering for
teaching our cooking class today!!
The tacos and nachos were delicious!
Also, thank you for bringing Dr. Coleman today to give a message of hope to these girls!
Thank you to Xtra Mile Food Bank for donating snacks!
Thank you to the Rockdale County Schools Nutrition program for your donations of toiletries which will help the girls!
I heard one girl say that she didn’t like being in foster care or group homes,
but she loved it here. Because of Chicktime.
This same young lady has been at Elks for two years, and has never really spoken to us.
Last month, she came in and she started talking. It was a major milestone for her.
Then this month, she comes in and gives me a warm hug and is talking to me as if we have known each other all of our lives.
Another young lady showed us where she is starting an
encouragement , goal oriented club at her school.
This is what it is all about.
So thankful to be a part of an organization that inspires and helps these girls,
and I’m so thankful to all of you who volunteer and donate to help make an impact in your community!
