Ugly Christmas Sweater DIY

Materials

Christmas decorations (we bought all of ours from Dollar Tree)
Tinsel, bows, foam stickers, wiggly eyes, ornaments, battery operated lights, garland, bells, etc. 

Hot Glue, velcro, tape, other adhesives

Sweaters from thrift store of various sizes

Fabric markers

Scissors

Red wrapping paper

Procedure

Have girls pick out a sweater in a size that is close to what they wear (if it’s too big, it’s okay- it’s just a fun activity!)

Have the girls pick out what decorations they would like to use. They can go back to the decorations table multiple times if they like. 

Have a volunteer working with 2-3 volunteers if possible. One on one is best, but small groups are okay. 

Volunteers will help the girls hot glue or adhere their decorations onto the sweater. 

When the sweater is complete, the girls will do a fashion show on a red carpet made of red wrapping paper. 

You can vote on the best sweater and give prizes to the top 3 winners if you like.
