Dear Monthly Leader,

Thank you so much for leading a Chicktime Mission Workshop! We LOVE spending time with families who are providing stable homes for children in the Valley through Buckner Rio Grande Children’s Home and truly appreciate you for making it possible. Without monthly leaders bringing their joy and compassion to our monthly workshops we truly believe this program would not be the wonderful blessing it is to so many!

Here are a few general guidelines for leading a Chicktime month since Chicktime Mission:

Chicktime Mission meets monthly at a local bowling alley and provides a fun night out for families who have stepped up to provide a safe and stable home for children in the valley. It is our hope that this special night and the magic of fun and relaxing family time is a dream come true for them . It is not our original vision and not the Chicktime Model, but it seems to be just what the valley needs! The moment you say YES to becoming a workshop leader you say yes to raise $350 dollars to host your month for the families that sign up to come that night. The $350 dollars includes alley and shoe rental, food, game card, batting cages, bumper cars and more! We recommend calling, texting and emailing friends, family and neighbors and ask them to help you meet your goal. If they live in the area~ Ask them to join you the month you host to help offer love and hope to these special families.

Invitations:

-Chicktime Mission will create an invitation for your event and will send out the invitation for you using our database to our regular volunteers. You are encouraged to send the invitation out to your circle of friends and family as well as print them off and distribute to your community if you desire. On that note, please encourage your friends to fill out our web form and sign up to join Chicktime McAllen , simply click the subscribe button at the bottom of every page to open the web form. Make sure to select TX-McAllen from the drop-down menu. You are welcome to send a link the web form to your friends, post it on your Facebook page, and even include it as part of your email signature!

We can also create a personalize invitation for you to send to your family and friends to ask for donations to help you fund your monthly workshop. Make sure to let the co-leader host know if this is needed.

What to wear:

-We wear jeans, capris/long shorts and Chicktime t-shirts. We will have Chicktime shirts available prior to each Chicktime. T-shirts are available with $20 donation… we encourage you all to get one because it helps spread the word about Chicktime! 100% of the money goes to the families we serve! This is how we raise money for special projects for the kids. If you are not planning to wear a Chicktime t-shirt, Buckner asks that the volunteers wear modest clothing.
