Where We Serve
Chicktime Middletown is proud to partner with Family Promise which provides homeless children and their families with food, shelter and comprehensive services by partnering with our community. Family Promise is committed to advocating for innovative solutions to ending family homelessness. Family Promise of Monmouth County, an affiliate of national Family Promise, works with community agencies, faith-based services, churches and synagogues to provide shelter, food, transportation and supportive services including case management for homeless families.
Their Network is made up of host congregations who have pledged the use of their facilities and the participation of volunteer members and support congregations who provide additional volunteers and support. Family Promise of Monmouth County usually accommodates 3 to 5 families or a maximum of 14 people per day. The network consists of a Day Center and 10 host congregations. For one week approximately every 3 months congregations provide a place to sleep for families who find themselves temporarily homeless as well as meals and fellowship. The Family Promise of Monmouth County Day Center (located in Aberdeen) has shower and laundry facilities as well as a kitchen for preparing mid-day meals. Each year they provide roughly 10,220 meals and 5,110 bed-nights for families in need. Referral calls to Family Promise of Monmouth County from families seeking temporary housing have increased steadily since the program has begun.
