FEBRUARY HIGHLIGHTS

We always have such a good time going to the North Texas Food Bank. This time around we were in the produce section. Together with other volunteers we packed up over 7 tons of potatoes! WOW!!

JANUARY HIGHLIGHTS

On January 18th, Chicktime Dallas teamed up with  Dallas Area Habitat for Humanity! Several ladies showed up to help a wonderful family on their journey to home ownership. Together with the Habitat team and the future home owners, WE INSULATED THE ENTIRE HOUSE!! So much fun! Thank you,ladies!!

NOVEMBER HIGHLIGHTS

Thank you so much to all of our ladies and gentlemen that came to the North Texas Food Bank in November. We participated in the city of Dallas JFK Day of Serving.  Chicktime Dallas helped sort and package 14,466 meals for North Texas families. These meals were delivered for Thanksgiving! THANK YOU SO MUCH! Chicktime Dallas will DEFINITELY be back to serve our community in this capacity again. It was a wonderful time and a powerful experience. Hunger is real, and it may be right next door. We helped Stamp Out Hunger over 14,000 times in less that 4 hours! THAT’S AMAZING!

  NOVEMBER NEWS

Save the date: November 23rd from 1-4pm, Chicktime will be at the North Texas Food Bank (NTFB) on Cockrell Hill Road. The North Texas Food Bank provides meal for thousands of families who do not have much to eat. We are excited to work with them for JFK giving day! Learn more about the NTFB here. OCTOBER HIGHLIGHTS

Several Chicktime volunteers gathered to  process new tennis shoes for girls and boys. These shoes go from the Buckner Center for Humanitarian Aid to many different countries including Peru, Mexico, and Ethiopia. Thank you so much for all of your hard work, ladies!

OCTOBER NEWS

Save the date: October 5th! We will be volunteering at Buckner’s Center for Humanitarian Aid. We will be packing and shipping new shoes and socks to orphans in the US and countries abroad! Sign up on the events calendar.

AUGUST HIGHLIGHTS

On August 10, we teamed up with our  partner Buckner Children’s Home to help with the Back to School Bash. We played games, provided activities, and had fun with the kids. They also received backpacks with new school supplies!

 JULY HIGHLIGHTS

On July 21st, Chicktime  Dallas teamed up with a local Dallas organization called Counter Culture. We provided snacks and service for their Austin Street Shelter Movie Night. Homeless members of the Dallas community got a chance to sit back and relax and watch a movie with free snacks and drinks. Hundreds of people showed up at the shelter. We had a blast watching Grown Ups. It was so awesome to see all the smiles and here how much they appreciated us being there. JUNE HIGHLIGHTS

The Simari Ridge Community Resource Center Health Fair was a success! The Simari  Ridge Community families received valuable information about breast cancer prevention/health  screenings, fire safety, and violence prevention.

Thanks to the Dallas Fire Dept., Dallas Police Dept., The Bridge Breast Network, Well Care, and Dependable Home care for providing all the  health and safety information and health screenings.

Thank you to Chelsea and Cynthia for showing up and supporting Chicktime Dallas! We are so glad to have you as members!

JUNE NEWS

Join us on Saturday, June 8th for the Simari Community Center Health Fair, sponsored by our  charity partner, Buckner Children’s home. There will be lots of great information on diet, exercise, and healthy habits!  Health is wealth!

MAY HIGHLIGHTS

Our May event was a lot of fun! There were about 50 kids at the picnic. Here’s a few pics of the events that day. More to come later 🙂

MAY NEWS

For our May activity, we will be partnering with Buckner Children’s Home on May 4th from 11am – 2pm to help with their Summer Picnic. There will be sno-cones, bounce houses, a popcorn machine, and more. This is a chance for the families to bond with their foster/adoptive children. Please join us!
