About Our Chapter
Hello and I am so happy you have found ChickTime! My name is Geneva, and I am the Founder of ChickTime Marion. I have been a social worker for almost 20 years, always with a focus on children. I am married to my high school sweetheart, who is a special education elementary teacher. We are the parents of Nolan, 20 years and Ryan, 17 years. Myself and my family have a calling for missions, both locally and globally. Annually my family goes on mission to the Dominican Republic to serve the local communities of Puerto Plata, Chichigua, Pancho Mateo and Tamarindo with Makarios, a local educational group. We are on mission locally through our service work with the foster children of Texas.
I first began serving with ChickTime in 2012 at the founding chapter in Canyon Lake at New Life Christian Center. Monthly ChickTime Saturdays are the highlight of my weekend. Getting to know the girls, loving on them as we participate in fun workshops and encouraging them up along the way is such a blessing. Then my heart needed more and another children’s home needed ChickTime- and so ChickTime Marion was formed.
We would love for you to experience the joy of serving the girls of TruLight127. Our volunteers are the heartbeat of ChickTime! We believe everyone, including YOU, has beautiful gifts and talents they can share with others. We meet on the 2nd Saturday of every month and we cannot wait for you to join us!
