About Our Chapter

SONY DSC

Hello my name is Sandra Rodriguez, leader of the Chicktime Humble chapter.

Just a little bit about me, I’m originally from Channelview Texas, born and raised. I graduated from The Art institute of Houston in 2004 with my degree in Multi Media Design.

There was a time in my life where I knew I needed to be doing something else…something bigger than myself! That’s when I found out about Chicktime.  I felt it was my calling and it also gave me something to get excited about! I felt like God lead me to something that would not only help me grow my spiritual being but more importantly to help heal others.

Now after working with Chicktime for a few months It has taught me to count my blessings and not to agonize over the things I cannot control. God has a plan for all his children; we just have to follow his path.

What I love about Chicktime is that it’s a group of women who have a desire to cultivate the lives of the woman and children at Family Time who are victims of domestic violence. Our mission is to encourage, inspire, and increase their self-esteem. We give our time and talents to give back to the Humble community by providing skillful learning opportunities in a positive atmosphere.

In regards to some of my talents, I enjoy cooking, painting, decorating, drawing, and kid crafts which I love doing with my nieces and nephews.  😀   Let me know what talents and hobbies you have and together we can turn it into a workshop to share with the woman and children at Family Time.

We would love for you to join us on our journey to add love and joy to the lives of these children. Our volunteers are what keeps our chapter going and that is why we need you too! If you’re interested in becoming a member or receiving event invitations, select the “Join a Chapter” link and then click TX- Humble.

Sincerely,
Sandra Rodriguez
