Dear Monthly Leader,
Thank you so much for leading the Galveston Chicks! We LOVE spending time with The Moms at the Pregnancy Help Center in Galveston and truly appreciate you for making it possible. Without monthly leaders bringing their joy and passion to PHC we truly believe this program would not be the wonderful blessing it is to so many!
Here are a few general guidelines for leading a Chicktime month at The Pregnancy Help Center in Galveston :
Your Workshop:
Chicktime Galveston meets monthly at the Pregnancy Help Center in Galveston. We deliver a meal (3rd Thursday at 5:45pm) to be enjoyed by the young moms and volunteers who facilitate the class (teachers, nurse, advocates who tranports girls) as well as enough left overs for the girls to take home leftovers. Many of the young mothers can be dealing with food insecurity.

Our Chicktime volunteers are invited to stay for the classes and just love on and support the girls.
Your main role as the workshop leader is to pick up the sandwhich trays from HEB along with chips, cute plates, napkins and make a HOMEMADE DESSERT. If at all possible we ask that you donate or raise the funds to pay for the dinner. We also ask that you invite at least one female friend, co-worker, neighbor, or family member to join you! 🙂
Invitations:
-Chicktime Galveston will create an invitation for your event and will send out the invitation for you using our database to our regular volunteers. You are encouraged to send the invitation out to your circle of friends and family as well as print them off and distribute to your community if you desire. On that note, please encourage your friends to fill out our web form and sign up to join Chicktime Galveston simply click the subscribe button at the bottom of every page to open the web form. Make sure to select TX-Galveston from the drop-down menu. You are welcome to send a link the web form to your friends, post it on your Facebook page, and even include it as part of your email signature!
