Where We Serve

Chicktime Dothan proudly serves the Alabama Baptist Children’s Home! The purpose of the Alabama Baptist Children’s Homes & Family Ministries is to protect, nurture, and restore children and families through Christ-centered services. In their Campus Care homes, school-age children may live with 6–8 other children in a large home with house parents who care for them. We have Campus Care homes in three locations statewide: Decatur, Dothan, and Mobile. The Shelter Care homes are temporary Campus Care homes for children whose families are in crisis. Children live here while their families, social workers, and courts decide on a permanent plan that would best meet the child’s needs. ABCH has Shelter Care homes on the Decatur and Oxford campuses. In their foster homes, children live in a foster family’s own home. ABCH has foster families statewide, all of whom live at most, within a one-hour drive from one of their regional offices. This is for children from birth to age 18. ABCH is committed to providing incredible homes that protect, nurture, and restore children coming from difficult circumstances. The Alabama Baptist Children’s Homes & Family Ministries (ABCH) has championed the statewide cause of needy, neglected, and dependent children since the late 1800s. Thousands of children and their families have received food, shelter, love, comfort, and spiritual guidance under the Christian direction of dedicated men and women. Today, they proudly continue their legacy as a ministry that “protects, nurtures, and restores children and families through Christ-centered services.”
