July Highlights

Our July event was held on the 21st at Seton Home and we were blessed by an abundance of volunteer Chicks that came out to help us.  The moms at Seton Home had the opportunity to learn how to decorate some fancy cupcakes while the precious little ones were being babysat by a fabulous group of teen Chicks.

We worked on learning how to make cute Teddy Bear Picnic cupcakes for kids’ parties which entailed frosting the cupcakes with green icing and sugar and topping them with Teddy Grahams, paper umbrellas and flower candy sprinkles.  They turned out really cute!  Next we made some pretty flower cupcakes by cutting marshmallows in half diagonally and dipping the sticky part in colored sugar.  We then layered the marshmallows around in circles on frosted cupcakes in order to form a flower.  This makes a really pretty cupcake for an adult party or shower.

The girls at Seton seemed to enjoy making these tasty treats and the kids had a great time being rocked and played with by an enthusiastic group of teen volunteers.

We want to especially thank all of the new volunteers that showed up to help this time.  We look forward to seeing you again in the future!

Many persons have the wrong idea about what constitutes true happiness.
It is not attained through self-gratification,
but through fidelity to a worthy purpose.
