Never underestimate the power in nominating Chicktime Leaders for area awards. For the most part, our leaders do not want recognition for their volunteer work… but do relish the thought of getting exposure so that more women hear about our mission and get involved. In February 2011, one of our members was selected as San Antonio WOAI’s Jefferson Award recipient! The Jefferson Award is a prestigious national recognition system honoring community and public service in America…a Nobel Prize for public service. One local chick took the time to nominate her local Chicktime leader and the committee at WOAI chose her and the mission of Chicktime.
If you are reading this and feel inspired to nominate a chapter leader for the 2012 Jefferson Award or any other local award for service, by all means, go for it!!!
